About
What this is
Cybirspheres is an independent editorial index of hotels. It exists because the interesting parts of a hotel — what the building used to be, how the rooms are actually laid out, what sits next door — tend to get flattened into the same handful of adjectives wherever you look them up. We write those parts out in full sentences instead.
The index is organised into four categories: art hotels, capsule hotels, casino hotels and ice hotels. Each was chosen because it describes a real difference in how a building works, not a marketing tier.
How entries are written
Every entry is written from published material about the property — architectural records, the operator's own descriptions, reporting, and photographs. We stick to things that are general and durable: the year a building went up, where it sits, what the public rooms are for. We leave out anything that changes week to week.
There are no star ratings here, no scores and no reviews. Those require a methodology we do not have and would not be honest about. What you get is description.
What we do not do
We do not take bookings, hold inventory, or pass enquiries to any property. We are not an agency and we are not paid to include or exclude anyone. If you want to stay somewhere listed here, go to the hotel or to whichever booking channel you normally use.
Hotels change hands, close for renovation and reopen looking different. Anything you read here is worth confirming with the property before you rely on it.
